I was born in 1975 in Kırıkkale. I completed my primary and secondary education in Kırıkkale. I completed the medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Faculty between 1993-1999 and received the title of ‘Medical Doctor’. Between 2002-2005, I traineed ophthalmology residence at Gulhane Military Medical Academy. I became an Eye Specialist in 2005. I worked at GATA as a specialist physician at the Ophthalmology Department between 2005-2010 and at Etimesgut Military Hospital between 2010-2013. I became an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology in 2012. I worked as a lecturer at GATA Ophthalmology Department between 2013-2016. I speak English fluently. I am married and have three children.
In 2010, I passed ‘The Full Basic Science Examination in Ophthalmology’, ‘The Clinical Sciences Examination in Ophthalmology’ and ‘The Advanced ICO Examination’ exams conducted by the ‘International Council of Ophthalmology’ and had the title of FICO (Fellow of International Council of Ophthalmology).
In 2012, I passed the European Board of Ophthalmology exam and received the title of FEBO (Fellow of European Board of Ophthalmology).
I have experience in cataract surgery, retinal surgery, glaucoma surgery, eyelid surgery, strabismus surgery and ocular electrophysiologic testing.
Ninety-six (96) international articles, 18 national articles, 45 international congress and symposium presentations and 33 national congress and symposium presentations
I performed 10 presentations as a panelist in National Ophthalmology Congresses. I have also authored chapters in 3 international books and 2 national books. I won a travel grant award from an international congress for one of my studies.
I am a member of editorial board of 4 international journals.
I have served as a referee for many articles in international and national respected journals.
